MOST issued the Guide on applying for research topics and projects of modern agricultural technology under the 863 Program. Projects are divided into major projects and key projects. Major projects target at developing important products and building major technical system while key projects aim to break through core technologies, develop the prototype of the strategic product or solve the important technological problems in pilot testing.

The guide issued this time concerns the application for 4 key projects--“Agricultural Bio-manufacture and Food Fine Processing Technology and Product”, “Animal and Plant Bio-reactor”, “Agricultural Protein Engineering Technology and Product” and “Biomass Transformation Technology and Product” and one of the 2^nd batch of research topics “Plant Molecular and Cellular Breeding Technology and Variety Creation”.
