China-U.S. Forum on Science Popularization Held in Shanghai

In order to learn the successful experiences and advanced concepts of developed countries in the sector of science popularization and facilitate China-U.S. cooperation and exchange in the undertaking of science popularization, the China Science and Technology Exchange Center and the Office of International Science and Engineering, National Science Foundation of the U.S. jointly hosted the “China-U.S. Science Popularization Forum----S&T Dissemination and Public Scientific Literacy” in Shanghai Science and Technology Museum on 23-25 May. The forum was greatly supported by the Department of Policy, Regulations and Reform of MOST and Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality.

 

As an important event of 2007 National S&T Week, this forum became a grand gathering of the science popularization communities of China and the U.S. Approximately 200 science popularization experts and personnel, scientists, S&T teachers and media delegates from both countries attended this forum.
