An academic meeting on the National Long-Term Monitor Network of Soil Fertility and Fertilizer Efficiency was held lately in Beijing with a view to promoting China’s innovation capability in agricultural science and technology, and upgrading the building and monitoring level of field stations.
The network covers long-term observation stations in nine distinct agroecological zones across the nation and is among the 1st batch of pilot national stations identified by MOST in 1999. In November 2006 it was approved by MOST as a national field station for observation and research.
