In the afternoon of November 14th, MOST and Hunan Provincial Government convened the 2nd Session of Ministerial and Provincial Work Conference in Changsha. Vice Minister Li Xueyong and Governor Zhou Qiang of Hunan Province, Academician of Engineering Yuan Longping and relevant officials attended the conference.

 MOST and Hunan Provincial Government had a discussion on three topics: 1) to jointly promote the development of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan innovative city cluster to facilitate the rise of central China; 2) to jointly explore new ways for building a new socialist rural area in China through science and technology; 3) to jointly explore the mechanisms and regimes for S&T innovation in order to build a favorable environment for independent innovation.
