In order to put into practice the Green Olympics and Hi-tech Olympics and propel technological development and application of new energy cars, MOST teamed up with Beijing Municipal Government and Olympic Committee in the demonstration of new energy vehicles, which will undertake part of the transportation task during 2008 Olympic Games.

According to the technical scheme, vehicles evaluated at the meeting could basically meet the requirements of demonstration operation and technical support. The new energy vehicle application program fully reflects the advantages of low emissions or zero emission. By providing services to the Games, the program is of great significance in showing China’s technological strength, embodying the concept of environmental-friendly transportation, promoting energy efficiency and developing new energy vehicles.
