On January 30th of 2008, the Department of Basic Research of MOST held in Beijing a workshop on projects of scientific data sharing. The expert panel was updated on the overall progress in projects related to data sharing centers (networks) in the field of meteorology, agriculture, forestry, oceanography, seismology, earth system science and medical science. They also saw the demonstration of website service systems, and discussed the policies, regulations, standards, and how to integrate and share data in an effective manner.
