The “Grain Storage Technology Integration and Demonstration in the Three Major Chinese Plains”, a project under the S&T Program for Grain Harvest, has made remarkable achievements in reducing grain loss in storage. The researchers have developed a new material for grain barns, optimized the shape and material of corn barns in Northeast China Plain and worked out three new types of barns. The technologies have been demonstrated in 3420 households in 12 provinces.

This project receives a two-year investment of RMB7.46 million, with the participation of 27 agencies and 158 researchers, and has developed one standard, published 6 papers and graduated 19 M.A. holders.
