On February 19th of 2009, Vice Minister CAO Jianlin of Science and Technology met with Prof. Richard Larkins AO, president of Monash University in Australia.
Larkins thanked MOST for providing Australia with relief efforts on the occasion of the fire, and appreciated the S&T achievements China has made in the past 30 years. He also made brief on the cooperation between Monash University and its Chinese counterparts.
Vice Minister CAO pointed out that the close S&T cooperation between China and Australia went on well thanks to the solid foundation. MOST will spare not efforts in recommending Chinese research institutes to further collaboration with Monash University.
