The 8th National Workshop for Directors of Hi-tech Business Incubators, organized by Torch High Tech Industrial Development Center of MOST (THTIDC), was held recently in Beijing. Over 130 directors of incubators from all over the country attended the event. Director of MOST Department of Policy, Regulations and Reform MEI Yonghong, Director of THTIDC LIANG Gui, Department-level Commissioner MA Yanmin and leaders from the MOST Department of High Technology Development and Industrialization were present at the opening ceremony.

Director MEI delivered a theme report titled Development Strategies and Methods of Science and Technology in China, which summarized the achievements in science and technology, analyzed the problems in the economic structure and proposed some thoughts on the development of science and technology in China from various angles, including science and technology professionals, input and output in science and technology, the role of science and technology and innovation environment.

The workshop was divided into 8 special trainings, with a view to better implementing MOST Party Chief LI Xueyong’s proposals during his visit to incubators in Dalian.
