China Wind Power 2010 Held in Beijing

China Wind Power 2010 was held from Oct. 13 to 15 in Beijing. World wind power manufacturers, operators, and research institutes attended the summit. Over 500 factories and companies of whole machines, elements and accessories from 23 countries and regions joined the Expo.

As one of the two renewable sources (the other is hydropower) that can compete with traditional energies in cost and scale, wind energy has attracted great attention from all countries. Since the launch of the 11th 5-year plan, China’s wind energy has witnessed fast development, with the installed capacity of wind power exceeding 25million KW in 2009, or the world’s No.2.

Wind Energy Expo as part of China Wind Power 2010, is the world’s third largest one in this field.
