At the invitation of UAE Foreign Minister HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyans, Minister Wan Gang led a delegation to attend the 2nd Clean Energy Ministerial Meeting (CEM) in Abu Dhabi on April 6-7, 2011. In his speech, Minister Wan reviewed actions taken for saving energy, cutting emissions and developing renewable energy in the 11th Five-year Plan period and introduced the government’s goal and major measures for enhancing energy efficiency and developing non-fossil energy in the 12th Five-year Plan period. Minister Wan also shared China’s experiences in drawing up plans, supporting R&D demonstration and promoting synergy of universities, research institutes and enterprises.
