Minister Wan Gang met with Alejandro Cruz, Costa Rica Minister for Science and Technology in San Jose on September 5th.
Wan said that since the signing of the agreement between the two S&T Ministries, both sides had seen fruitful cooperation in the fields of agriculture, biodiversity and high technology. With solid foundation and a bright future, China and Costa Rica can build long-term mechanism to boost cooperation in priority areas, and enhance the collaboration between research institutes and enterprises to promote the exchange of young scientists.
Cruz spoke highly of Wan's proposal and said that China and Costa Rica had much in common and can complement each other in a range of areas, including innovation policy, priority areas and young scientists training. Cruz also expressed the willingness to strengthen bilateral S&T ties and promote socioeconomic progress in the two countries.
