Tech Training Workshop Held on Agricultural Engineering and Product Processing

The International Training Workshop on New Technologies for Agricultural Engineering and Product Processing was successfully launched at the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Mechanization Sciences (CAAMS) on the morning of April 6th, 2017. Sponsored by the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology and organized by China Science and Technology Exchange Center, the workshop was on technical training conducted by the CAAMS. A total of 22 representatives from 8 developing countries in Asia and Africa attended the 20-day workshop.

As a cradle of China‘s agricultural machinery industry, a major source for the diffusion of fundamental technology and a window of international exchanges, the CAAMS has conducted technical training workshops sponsored by the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology for many years. By inviting renowned experts and scholars from the CAAMS and the industrial community, the workshop provides a comprehensive introduction to the latest research achievements and experience of China in agricultural engineering and product processing, promotes specialized technological, applicable products, useful models and application standards in line with agricultural developments in various countries. It also highlights achievements and importance of agricultural engineering and products processing in China. The training features study tours of typical manufacturing enterprises, agencies for technology management and promotion, and demonstration parks. In this way, trainees from other developing countries can have an in-depth understanding of China’s agricultural modernization. The project is expected to raise the profile of China‘s agricultural technologies in other developing countries, build a platform for the global diffusion of practical agricultural technologies and products, and lay a solid foundation for the cooperation between China and other developing countries in R&D projects, commerce and trade.
