On the afternoon of 11 June, MOST convened a general meeting of all the office staff, at which WAN Gang, the newly-appointed Minister of Science and Technology delivered an important speech. He affirmed the good momentum of current S&T development and presented the key tasks in the immediate future, requiring the staff to consolidate existing achievements, carry out the work in a down-to-earth manner and redouble efforts so as to advance the S&T work to a new level. LI Xueyong, Secretary of the Party Leading Group of MOST and Vice Minister of Science and Technology presided over the meeting and made the summary remarks.
