On 4 August 2007, Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission hosted a working conference on Manufacturing Information Engineering in the 11^th Five Year in Tongji University. The conference reviewed the achievements and experiences of manufacturing information gained by Shanghai in the 10^th Five Year and issued the tasks and objectives in the 11^th Five Year. The objective is to cultivate national and municipal demonstration enterprises to bring along 200-500 enterprises in their realization of production and management informatization. Minister WAN Gang of Science and Technology and Vice Mayor YANG Dinghua of Shanghai attended the conference and delivered speeches, putting forward requirements for the manufacturing information work respectively.
