Vice Minister of MOST DU Zhanyuan attended a meeting in Wuxi to encourage the building of a pro-innovation Wuxi Hi-tech Park. Yang Weize, member of Jiangsu Provincial Standing Committee and Secretary of Wuxi Municipal Party Committee,  XU Nanping, assistant to the governor of Jiangsu Province were also present in the event.

During the meeting, the approval on building such a park issued by MOST was read out, and the Agreement on Jointly Building a Pro-innovation Wuxi Hi-tech Park was signed. VM DU and Secretary Yang inaugurated the Secretariat of China Technology Pioneering Commission, a standing body of Torch Center of MOST in Wuxi.
