On September 25, Minister WAN Gang met with visiting Austrian Federal Minister for Science and Research Johannes Hahn, Beijing. They reviewed Sino-Austrian S&T research and exchanged in-depth ideas on facilitating cooperation in the future.

WAN said that the Chinese government had underlined research and technological innovation in climate change. He also said that problems like energy conservation, emissions reduction and climate change were global concerns, so the Chinese government was ready to conduct extensive S&T cooperation with Austria and other countries.

According to Minister Hahn, Austria has always treasured S&T cooperation with China, and will expand both bilateral collaboration and joint efforts within the EU framework.
