The Forum on Energy Conservation, Emission Reduction and Global Climate Change (the Forum) was unveiled in Beijing on November 12. CPPCC Vice Chairman and MOST Minister WAN Gang addressed the event. Leaders from National Development and Reform Commission , the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the Ministry of Environmental Protection (MEP) illustrated their respective efforts in protecting the environment, dealing with climate changes, and promoting circular economy and green industries.

The Forum was co-organized by six ministries and departments. Over 600 representatives from domestic governmental departments, major foreign embassies in China, relevant international organizations, the business community, industry associations, and the media attended the forum.
