On the morning of November 14, Minister of MOST Wan Gang, together with Beijing Municipal Party Secretary Liu Qi, Mayor Guo Jinlong and leaders from Peking University, examined R&D of New Energy Vehicles (NEH) in Daxing Caiyu Economic Development Zone.

During the visit, Minister WAN unveiled nameplates for many newly established enterprises, and surveyed the powertrain system of electric vehicle, battery, and the spare parts of electrical motor. He even tried to drive and ride an electric prototype.

After that, visiting leaders attended the seminar on the R&D of NEH, listened to the reports on the preparatory work for establishing Beijing Auto NEH Enterprise and the electric vehicles development plans, and addressed the event.
