On November 10, 2022, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the signing of the China-Brazil Science and Technology Cooperation Agreement, the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology, the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation co-hosted a symposium in a hybrid format. Chinese Minister of Science and Technology Wang Zhigang and Brazilian Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Paulo Alvim addressed the event via video link.

　　During the symposium, representatives of the scientific communities from the two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on issues of mutual interest. Government officials and researchers from both countries attended the meeting, and more than 200 people joined the event online. The meeting was productive, laying a solid foundation for advancing China-Brazil science and technology cooperation.
