On July 24 to 26, the Hi-tech Development and Industrialization Department of MOST convened “2007 Seminar of Chinese National Engineering Research Center (CNERC) on Industrial Hi-tech” in Urumchi, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
Director General FENG Jichun presented a report on “Motivating CNERC for the Building of An Innovative Country”. He introduced the overall arrangement of national hi-tech development during the 11th Five-Year Period (2006-2010), summarized the work of 2006 and deployed tasks for 2007. He also put forward eight requirements for enhancing CNERC’s work in the field of industrial hi-tech.
