On 28 July 2007, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology CAO Jianlin led a delegation of leaders and Party cadres from the Department of High and New Technology Development and Industrialization on a special trip to DSIC for investigation and study.

Deputy Minister CAO and his delegation visited NO.1 and NO.2 Workshop of DSIC for an on-the-spot investigation and then listened to reports given by SHAO Kaiwen, Deputy GM of DSIC and LIU Zheng, Party Secretary of DSIC as well as other department heads and frontline workers.

Deputy Minister CAO pointed out that the purpose of the tour is to go to the places in need to learn from frontline experts, to find out existing problems if any and to learn about what polices are needed. Deputy Minister CAO also listened to reports presented by leaders from Dalian Science and Technology Bureau.
