On July 26, Vice Minister CAO Jianlin received updates from the Department of Hi-tech Development and Industrialization on the informationization of the manufacturing industry (IMI) during the 11th Five-Year Period. He fully acknowledged the achievements made in recent years and put forward requirements for future work.
CAO pointed out that IMI served as a flagship of the S&T advancement in the manufacturing field. Efforts should be made to establish a national system for IMI technology before any barrier being formed in the different sectors so as to ensure balanced development.
