On September 27-28, 2007, during his visit to the Tianjin Coastal Science Park, Vice Minister CAO Jianlin asked about the innovation situation of Tianjin Saixiang Technology Co.,Ltd. and Tianjin Lishen Battery Joint-stock Co.,Ltd. He was also updated on Tianjin S&T work, high-tech zone development in Tianjin, and construction of the Science Park.

CAO proposed that greater importance should be given to: raising technology content; cultivating local technology company; developing new industry; upgrading traditional industry; developing harmonious science park; and environment improvement.

According to Director ZONG Guoying of the Science Park Administrative Committee, the Tianjin High-tech Zone gave priority to the Coastal Science Park since July, 2006, in the confidence of ranking it among world-class innovation parks in five to eight years.
