The 2007 China-US Executive Secretaries’ Meeting for S&T Cooperation was held in Shanghai on October 11-12, 2007.

The meeting organized discussions on advanced clean energy technology, nuclear safety and peaceful utilization of nuclear technology, agricultural science and technology, water resources, resource conservation and integrated utilization, earth observation, disaster mitigation and prevention, public health and bio-medicine, basic research, education, training and exchange of research and management staff, nanotechnology, computation and standards, etc.

The two sides exchanged ideas on facilitating innovation under the framework of Joint Committee Meeting on S&T. Consensus was reached on stepping up cooperation in a series of areas and launching relevant projects.
