The 310th session of the Xiangshan Science Conference, with the theme of “Scientific fundamentals concerning the preparation of transparent ceramics and optical function adjustment”, was held in Beijing from October 10 to 12, 2007.
According to the experts at the meeting, efforts should be made to identify the basic scientific issues related to the preparation and application of transparent ceramics, carry out basic research and applied research on ceramics, and develop new techniques and measures of independent intellectual property rights. The aim was to promote the research and application of ceramics and stimulate the development of related high-tech products and industries.
