The Department of Basic Research lately organized a meeting in Beijing to study the feasibility of the construction plan on the State Key Laboratory (SKL) of Earth Surface Processes and Resource Ecology.

According to the expert panel that unanimously approved the plan for its feasibility, the plan should be implemented as soon as possible after modification.

This SKL is one of the 27 to-be-built state key labs approved by MOST in 2007.
