On October 24, 2007, EU Symposium on Clean City Transportation Project was convened in Beijing. The symposium was jointly presided over by Mr. Simon Whitehousefrom EU and Professor Ouyang Minggao from Tsinghua University.

The symposium introduced the demonstration efforts of the EU fuel cell-powered public transport vehicles and their latest development, the demonstration of hydrogen internal combustion engine, the construction of hydrogen filling stations, as well as safety and scientific knowledge dissemination, etc.

This symposium represented a platform for information exchange between demonstration organizations in China and Europe. The brain of the project in these demonstration cities introduced the running of the project. This is of great help to the demonstration of fuel cell-powered public transport vehicles and infrastructure program in China, and has provided relevant experience for Beijing and Shanghai to draw upon.
