On October 8th, 2007, the Basic Research Division of the MOST organized an expert team for the feasibility study of the Construction Planning for the State Key Laboratory of Neurosciences.
The expert team reached a unanimous agreement on passing the assessment, and suggested that the laboratory should narrow down its focus, highlight its features and advantages and play a leading role in the neuroscience research in China.
State Key Laboratory of Neurosciences is one of the 27 state key laboratories approved by MOST in 2007. Neurosciences are an emerging interdisciplinary science dealing with the normal functions and abnormalities of the nerve system with a variety of approaches including biology, physics, information technology, etc.
