In order to supplement the government’s effort to implement the national policies on energy conservation and emission reduction (ECER), promote green Olympics, and realize the goal of green trips, the MOST，the State Environmental Protection Administration and the Beijing Municipal Government jointly sponsored and convened the 5th International Exhibition of Automobiles Featuring Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection on October 25, 2007 in Beijing.

Lasting for 4 days and themed as “energy conservation and emission reduction & Innovation and Development”, the exhibition presented some technological research results and products developed through self-reliant innovation by FAW, Dongfeng Motor (DFW), Shanghai Automotive (SAIC) as well as other auto makers and engine manufacturers in China.
