The Mechanical-electrical Integration & Robot Forum (2007 M & R) was convened on October 2, 2007 in St. Petersburg. More than 100 experts from Russia, China, Germany, France, Norway, Sweden and Japan attended the Forum. On the sideline of the event, an exhibition was held, presenting robots from Russia, China and the European Union.

The event presented a venue for China and Russia to exchange ideas and learn from each other, setting off a new surge in the Sino-Russian Year. The Chinese experts pledged to improve China’s robot technology by learning from other countries.
