Recently, the Department of Basic Research of the Ministry of Science and Technology held a meeting in Beijing to assess the feasibility of the construction plan of State Key Laboratory of Lakes and Environment.

The expert team approved the plan and recommended early implementation after modification and improvement. Meanwhile, the expert team pointed out that the Laboratory should keep its major research more focused while integrating the important needs of the state so as to facilitate the output of innovation.
