From November 18 to 25 of 2007, MOST held the Workshop on Building New Socialist Countryside through S&T Innovation in Hangzhou City of Zhejiang Province.

The workshop aimed to explore the theoretical and practical issues related to the building of new socialist countryside through S&T, enhance local officials’ awareness, facilitate rural industrial development, develop the new countryside and increase farmers’ income.
