Recently, a commemoration symposium on the fifteenth anniversary of the establishment of productivity promotion centers was held in Beijing. CAO Jianlin, Vice Minister of Science and Technology presented at the symposium and delivered an important speech. Representatives from productivity promotion centers across the country and delegates of some local science and technology administrative departments attended the meeting. 

CAO stressed that the important role of productivity promotion centers should be fully recognized and affirmed in promoting the combination of sci-tech and economy, improving SMEs’ technological innovation capacity and their market competitiveness. Meanwhile, we should be fully aware of the new situations and new tasks that productivity promotion centers are facing. We should intensify our efforts to advance industry technological innovation, optimization and upgrade of industrial structure as well as innovation of industrial clusters.
