Recently, 2007 National Science and Technology Statistics Working Conference was held in Beijing. The conference heard the report on "Summary of National Science and Technology Statistics in 2007" delivered by Development Planning Department of MOST.

The report comprehensively reviewed the work last year, and summarized the experience and deficiency in the work from the aspects of innovative investigation and research, the support of S&T statistical analysis to the S&T management and decision-making, and local Sci-Tech statistics, the monitoring and prediction of S&T statistics, as well as the capacity-building of S&T statistics,

Representatives from cities and provinces including Guangdong, Henan, Shanghai, Wuhan, Xinjiang, Beijing, Tianjin and Liaoning respectively on behalf of their own province (city) made a report on the work of Sci-Tech statistics, and looked forward to the work in 2008.

The conference arranged the work of annual statistical report of 2007, and carried on the annual statistics report training for the personnel of statistical investigations supporting agencies of each province and city.
