A meeting was recently held in Beijing to launch the expert panel for the key project “Energy Conservation and New Energy Vehicles” under the 863 program for the 11th Five-Year Plan period.

In the meeting, the Key Project Supervision Department discussed the role of the panel with relevant experts and reached consensus as follows: first, the panel will participate in the on-the-spot inspections organized by the Supervision Department on a regular basis to check how the project is carried out against relevant contracts, so as to effectively supervise over relevant R&D process of the project; second, the group will report their findings of the project progress and problems in a timely manner, and provide comment and suggestions for decision-making.
