The Forum on Energy Conservation, Emissions Reduction and Sustainable Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) was held in Chongqing on December 13, 2007 by the China Association of Productivity Promotion Centers in conjunction with relevant organizations under the auspices of the Department of High and New Technology Development and Industrialization under the Ministry of Technology and Science.

The Forum was held centering on its theme of energy conservation, emissions reduction and sustainable development of SMEs. Representatives from the China Energy Conservation Association, the Southwest Jiaotong University, the Productivity Center of Building Materials Industry, the Liaoning Productivity Promotion Center and relevant enterprises made presentation on accelerating the transition of economic development, upgrading the industrial structure, SMEs and resource environment, advanced applicable technologies and research results of energy conservation and emission reduction.
