Under the auspices of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Shanghai Innovative Research Center of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Fennopharma Corporate of Finland finalized a cooperation agreement in Shanghai on December 7 to implement the joint projects between the Chinese and Finnish governments. The parties will conduct cooperation on the overseas clinical research and market exploration of a new anti-depression drug S111.

S111 is an innovative monomer drug derived from TCM. The Shanghai Innovative Research Center of Traditional Chinese Medicine has already submitted early in 2006 to the State Food and Drug Administration the application for clinical test. The center also filed application for the international patent.
