The 3rd China Intelligent Transport Annual Meeting, sponsored by the National ITS Coordination and Leading Group, was held in Nanjing on December 14th, 2007. The theme of this annual meeting is “Intelligent Transport Making City Traffic Smoother”.

Vice Minister Cao Jianlin of Science and Technology pointed out that MOST would vigorously promote the technical development and the scale application of intelligent transport in China in conjunction with relevant ministries and local governments to provide citizens with expedite, comfortable and convenient traffic environment and transportation service. Vice Minister Cao emphasized that the Annual Meeting made great contribution to the intelligent transport technology and its application.    

In-depth discussion was held on ITS strategy and policy, urban intelligent public transportation, ITS-based road traffic management, control and safety technology, intelligent transport technology and ITS research and industry.
