Recently, the 315th Academic Symposium of the Xiangshan Science Conference was held in the Beijing Fragrant Hill Hotel. The theme of the symposium was the “Climate Change of the Tibetan Plateau, Its Impact and the Regional Development Strategy”.

The experts believed that the climate in the region of the Tibetan Plateau saw conspicuous warming in decades and some species were endangered or even extinct. Therefore, it is of great emergency to assess the tendency of climate change on the Tibetan Plateau against the background of global change and formulate feasible countermeasures.
