On 25 December 2007, the Expert Panel for Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction in Industrial Sectors held its second working meeting in Beijing.
At the meeting, the Experts Panel formulated a working plan, explicitly proposing that the panel’s work should be centered on promotion, demonstration and implementation of projects. The working plan points out that the energy conservation and emission reduction in the industrial sectors shall serve the national targets of energy conservation and emission reduction in the 11th five-year plan period. It shall provide scientific and technological support for achieving the targets through technical innovation, demonstration and promotion among the main energy consumers in relevant industries.
