The mid-term appraisal was conducted in Beijing for the 973 Project, “Mechanism and Regularities of Distribution of Oil-gas Reservoir in the Typical Superimposed Basins in West China”.
The objective is to find out mechanism and regularities of distribution of oil-gas reservoir in the typical superimposed basins in west China. The project focuses on two aspects, i.e. locating the traps and explaining how the complex structural traps help form the reserve. The research achievements are suggested be applied in the oil fields to provide guidance for oil-gas explorations.
