Recently, the Department Policy, Regulations and Reform of MOST held a Statistics Seminar on National Science Popularization in Wuhan, Hubei Province. More than 50 representatives of science and technology departments across China attended the Seminar.

The leader of the national science popularization statistics project team summarized experiences of recent years in science popularization statistics and focused on the analysis of major problems encountered in the statistical process. Besides, he also put forward proposals in improving statistical indexes, communication, statistical software function, analysis and research.
