MOST held a meeting to assess the Plan of the State Laboratory of Molecular Science (under preparation) in Beijing.

The expert panel agreed that the research orientation was in line with the frontiers and strategic demand of the molecular science. With specific and clear objectives and feasible approaches, the development plan of the Lab was approved.

Besides, it was suggested that the Lab should carry out in-depth study on the development trends of the molecular science, the national strategies, identify the objectives in scientific research, explore new management mechanism, bring into play the role of the public platform, and establish the leading role of the Lab in molecular science.
