On January 15th, Vice Minister CHENG Jinpei met with a US delegation led by Robert DESIMONE, Chairman of McGovern Institute for Brain Research at MIT and Academician of U.S. National Academy of Sciences.
After listening to the introduction of the neuroscience development in the States, Vice Minister CHENG Jinpei briefed the guests on the status quo of basic research, especially the 973 Program and the International Science and Technology Cooperation Program. To promote new progress on neuroscience research in China, CHENG expressed his wishes for deepened cooperation by relying on State Key Laboratories.
