On January 12, Vice Minister Cao Jianlin of Science and Technology inspected the 300 km/hr high-speed train, which was on trial at the Chinese Academy of Railway Sciences.

CAO took a test ride of the high-speed train and held a discussion with people in this community after listening to the special reports from Wang Jun, General Manager of the Sifang Locomotive and Rolling Stock Co., Ltd. CAO indicated that MOST would consult with the Ministry of Railway on reforming the system of innovation, and supporting the railway departments to engage in international cooperation.

Appreciating MOST for backing the research, Vice Chief Engineer ZHANG Shuguang of the Ministry of Railway looks forward to closer ties with MOST to develop high-speed train with intellectual property.
