On January 8-9, the Expert Group Meeting on Modern Communications in the 863 Program of the 11th Five Year was held in Changchun.

The expert group held unanimously that strategy study should be strengthened while implementing projects in the area of modern communications. The strategy study should be made with a long-term perspective. 

The expert group also made field study at the Changchun Railway Vehicles Co., Ltd. and visited the State Key Laboratory of Automobile Dynamic Simulation of the Jilin University.
