Recently, 2007 annual Meeting of Work Review for “Study on Key Technology for Rural Ecological Environment Regulation and Surveillance”, organized by the Bureau of Science and Technology for Resources and Environment attached to the Chinese Academy of Sciences, was held in Tianjin. The Study is a key project supported by Key Technologies R&D Program of the 11th Five-Year-Plan.

Since the launch of this program one year ago, a set of comparatively complete rural bio-environment index system had been formed, 2 software copyrights and 5 domestic invention patents applied and 1 draft industrial standard for the Ministry of Construction compiled. In addition, among the 27 publications of the project, 12 were published on foreign journals or on international conferences.
