The Department of Hi-tech Development and Industrialization convened the Symposium on Industrial Energy Conservation and Emissions Reduction lately as part of the efforts to carry out the S&T Action on Energy Conservation and Emissions Reduction.

In view of demands of key industries for technologies that save energy and cut emissions, the participants discussed about work arrangements and sketched the main tasks for this year. The meeting marks the full implementation of S&T work to cut energy use and emissions in industries in 2008.
