The 4th coordination meeting on new-energy vehicle demonstration for the 2008 Olympics was held in Beijing on 28 March, 2008.

The Project Office on Energy-saving and New-energy Vehicles reported recent progress. The Beijing Municipal Transportation Administration Bureau, the Beijing Public Transport Holdings Limited, and the Beijing Traffic Management Bureau updated on the plans of vehicle demonstration and maintenance. Currently the operation departments have teamed up with manufacturers to technically prepare for the new-energy vehicle demonstration, making sure that everything proceeds on schedule.
